Let The Sunshine In

Petworth / Washington DC / 2023

We're excited to unveil our latest renovation, centered on filling the main living area with light. Our main floor redesign has transformed previously disjointed spaces into a harmonious flow of living areas. Prior awkward spaces defined by ductwork and fragmented rooms have been re-envisioned. By efficiently relocating ductwork in order to harmonize walls and ceilings, we've achieved a more unified aesthetic. A key feature is the new south-facing kitchen window, allowing sunlight to permeate the entire floor. Additionally, two archway openings now connect the living, dining, and study areas, creating an elegant continuity and allowing light to flow from large south facing windows. The result is a visually and functionally cohesive home, where light, air, and movement coalesce beautifully.
