Sometimes It’s So Clear

Bethesda, MD / Ground Floor Renovation and Addition/ 2022

The residence exhibited a pronounced need for a renovation and expansion, chiefly at the ground level, to address the existing suboptimal space utilization and impeded flow within the premises. The entirety of the dwelling bore dated aesthetics, poor construction, and manifested a stark inefficiency in space allocation. The homeowners were inclined towards a comprehensive refresh to infuse a contemporary essence and foster a more gratifying spatial experience.

Upon our initial engagement, a clear vision immediately materialized. It was immediately clear. We needed to move the kitchen. It didn’t belong to the center, traditionally the heart, but the back, where the heart could be both inside and out. The envisaged renovation aimed not only to rectify the present inadequacies but also to metamorphose this living space into a more coherent and delightful habitat, celebrating modern living while fulfilling the aspirations of the homeowners.
